Submitting your work to be considered for publication in a refereed journal can be exhilarating. It can also be frustrating. Many educators find it challenging to research, write, and submit a polished article to a refereed journal. This is especially true for those who are new to the profession or who are on the tenure track and must demonstrate their ability to conduct research and have it distributed through scholarly publications.
I’m the founding editor of the Journal of College Student Retention: Research, Theory & Practice, a scholarly, refereed SAGE publication in its 24th year. I know what editors and reviewers are looking for in a manuscript submitted for publication. That is why I developed this course—to give you confidence and help ensure that your manuscript will receive the utmost consideration. After taking this course, I hope you will agree that you are more prepared to submit your manuscript to a refereed journal.
